On Wednesday, the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) bestbet Jacksonville festival continued with the Event #5: $200 No-Limit Hold'em final. Amazingly, just four days after winning Event #2: $240 Turbo, Brandon Brown of Darlington, South Carolina did it again by capturing his second title of the series, not to mention a $15,670 first-place prize.

What's more, Brown's win came a year after he final tabled the same event where he finished ninth for $1,839.

"Another one," tweeted Brown, who you can follow @bhbbrandon.

The tournament, which surpassed the $50,000 guarantee after attracting 422 entries over five starting flights to create a $69,630 prize pool, saw 56 players return to action, though only 50 of them were slated to get paid.

Among those to earn a payday were John Valevich (50th - $341), George Galloway (46th - $341), Matthew Gresham (34th - $409), Henry Jones (26th - $545), Sean Small (20th - $681), Andrew Lindenfelser (15th - $886), and Jason Bender (12th - $1,022).

Speaking of Bender, he also earned 100 points toward the MSPT Season 7 Player of the Year leaderboard. Bender, who scored several cashes earlier in the season, now sits with 1,100 points, which ties him for fourth with MSPT champ Richard Alsup. Andrew Rubinberg currently leads the race with 1,500 points thanks to his win in the MSPT Wisconsin State Poker Championship.

After Jacksonville's Tim Pickering bowed out in 11th place, the final ten was set and relocated to the final table, which was broadcast live (15-minute delay) worldwide here on msptpoker.com using RFID technology. It was there Brown, who began the final table as chip leader, put on an impressive display, getting unlucky time and again, but continuing to battle back. He then got it all in with pocket fours against the queens of Phan Nguyen. Fortunately a four appeared in the window and Brown doubles.

He and Nguyen ended up making it to heads-up play, and in the final hand of the night Brown, who held a massive chip lead at that point, once again got it all in with pocket fours against Nguyen's king-nine. Nguyen turned a straight, but the river delivered Brown a flush to seal the deal.
