Stuart Tuvey had been begging all night to have one of his hands covered in the blog. Unfortunately, the one that made it was his demise for the flight.

Tuvey, James Romero and Julian ended up in a three-way pot with Tuvey and Romero having their tournament lives on the line. Romero was the short stack with 34,500 but that changed by the time the hand ended. When the cards were turned up, here were the hands:

Romero: Tuvey: Julian:

Romero didn’t have long to wait to lock up the hand when the flop came out hitting his flush and locking up the main pot. The board then ran out giving Julian the side pot and sending Tuvey to the rail.

Romero wrapped up the hand with 103,500 chips (35 bb) and Julian pulled back 158,000 (53 bb)

The action continues with 149 players still alive in Day 1b here at the Venetian..
