A total of 342 players entered this flight, bringing the total number of entries up to 701. The $750k guarantee has been smashed and the 79 surviving players will return tomorrow to play for the win.

Leading the way is Corel Theuma who bagged up 965,000. Theuma spent most of the day hanging around the chip leaders, later in the day he found himself rising up the counts after winning a massive pot from Daniel Sepiol. The second massive hand he won was against Denise Pratt just a few away from bagging when his rivered flush bested her rivered straight for a pot worth 600,000 chips. Number one on Malta’s all time money list, Theuma has one prior MSPT cash at the Venetian. With this bag, he looks to better his prior cash and hunt for his first MSPT title.

His road will not be easy as many crushers found bags at the end of the night including Calvin Anderson (622,000), Michael Wang (541,000), Mike Vanier (523,000), Stephen Song (459,000), Romeo Mendoza (379,000), Brandon Wilson (125,000), Nicola Ditrapani (123,000), and Matt Affleck (36,000). Each one of them holding a wealth of experience and results making this field extremely stacked for tomorrow.

Not all were as fortunate as the players listed above and their time to shine in the MSPT spotlight will have to come at another time. Players like MSPT champions Rich Alsup, James Romero, Umut Ozturk, Daniel Sepiol, and others like Nicholas Pupillo, Ralph Massey, Ankush Mandavia, Jesse Lonis, and Martin Jacobson will have to look to other MSPT main events to win for their chances at a title.

Play ended at level 17 with (27:00) left on the clock. Blinds will return tomorrow at 4,000/8,000 with an 8,000 big blind when the players return at 11 AM to play down to a champion.
