Tyson Boulter leads as 58 of 323 Runners Advance from DAy 1B of MSPT Potawatomi

Day 1B of the latest MSPT Potawatomi – the eighth Main Event held here since 2014 – drew 323 runners, which along with 1A’s 312 brought the total field up to 635 entries. That means the top 72 players will get paid a minimum of $2,028 with the eventual winner taking home $125,958.

After 14 levels of play, 58 players remained with Tyson Boulter and his stack of 478,000 leading the way. That is ahead of Day 1A chip leader James Casen, who bagged 416,500.

Others to bag big stacks were Jesse Allen (249,000), Cole Tautges (220,000), MSPT Maryland Live! champ Greg Himmelbrand (213,000), and Chad Folkens (196,500), who round out the top five.

Joining them at the end of the night were Paul “Big Daddy” Elfelt (191,000), MSPT Season 8 Potawatomi Regional Champ Craig Trost (164,500), MSPT Season 7 Player of the Year Rich Alsup (158,000), WPT champ Ravi Raghavan (157,500), MSPT Season 7 Meskwaki champ Keith Heine (154,000), MSPT Season 5 Ho-Chunk champ Jason Sell (88,000), MSPT Season 2 Canterbury Champ Kou Vang (58,500), and Alex Barill (33,500).

Among those to fall on Day 1B were reigning champ Richard Bai, WSOPC Potawatomi Casino Champ Eddie Blumenthal, EPT4 Copenhagen champ Tim Vance, noted poker author Jim McManus, WSOP bracelet winner John Reading, and former MSPT champs John Sun, Dan Hendrickson, and Blake Bohn, just to name a few.
