Fahd Bennani Leads 12 Survivors After Day 1A
Created (2/7/2024 12:01:35 AM by Anthony Thompson)

Day 1a of the MSPT (Mid States Poker Tour) $1,100 Myster Bounty at The Venetian is officially in the books with 107 total entries tallied by night's end.

The talented field that entered came to play and action at the tables proved to be eventful from start to finish.

Almost a full 18 levels were needed to reach 11% of the field with Fahd Bennani (480,000) holding on to the top stack to bag the chip lead after the first flight.

Coming in a close second was two-time bracelet winner Shannon Shorr who added some more chips after eliminating Brad Miller in the final hand of the evening to take 462,000 into Day 2.

MSPT champ Nick Jivkov finished the night third in chips with 423,000 while Christina “Baby Shark” Gollins (400,000) was the only other player to break the 400k mark.

Of course, not everyone was fortunate enough to make it through the night.

Among those to fire and fall in Tuesday’s starting flight were WSOP bracelet winner's James Collopy, Dylan Linde, and Darren Rabinowitz, along with MSPT Champion's Rodger Johnson, James Romero, and Eric Baldwin, were just a few who took their shot at a bag on Day 1a only to come up short.

All who have yet to advance will have one more starting flight for further attempts.

Day 1b will get underway at 11:10 a.m. on Wednesday. Late registration and re-entries will remain open through Level 9 (approximately 5:55 p.m.).

The MSPT live reporting crew will be on hand to capture all the action, so be sure to join us then.
