Taylor Maas Leads 33 Survivors After Day 1B
Created (12/8/2023 11:39:25 PM by Anthony Thompson)

A lengthy day of 15 levels has wrapped up during the MSPT Winter Poker Classic $1,110 Main Event at Running Casino as the second of three flights drew 280 entries to bring the two-day total thus far to 475, solidifying that the $500K GTD will be surpassed in tomorrow’s final flight.

Of those 280 entries, only 33 players remained when chips went into bags, and it was Taylor Maas (805,000) who outdistanced himself from the rest to take the third overall chip stack into Day 2 thus far.

Following behind Maas was MSPT champ Max Havlish (560,000) who was followed closely by two-time MSPT champ Ben Marsh (518,000) after he caught steam at the end of the night after receiving a double-up while eliminating Tanya Payne in the final hand evening.

Rounding out the top five stacks were Kevin Pender (486,000), and Mike Headland (473,000), while Paul Elfelt (451,000), Loki Abboud (440,000), and Vlad Revniaga (424,000) were the only other players to bag north of 400k this flight.

Much like Day 1a, the final levels of the night saw an onslaught of casualties, with players such as MSPT Hall of Famer’s Jason Seitz and Matt Kirby among those to be eliminated before play concluded for the night with chips flying all across the remaining tables.

Several other familiar players will also be joining the aforementioned five. MSPT champ Moon Ahmed (330,000), defending champ Blake Bohn (303,000), two-time MSPT champ Jeremy Dresch (204,000), DJ Buckley (172,000) & MSPT Hall of Famer Josh Reichard (97,000) are just a few more of the players to add their names to the Day 2 roster along with the 22 to have already advanced from Day 1a.

The final starting flight will get underway tomorrow at noon. Late registration and re-entries will remain open through Level 12 (approximately 9:10 p.m.).

Make sure to tune in to see who makes it through to Day 2.
